Season Rap up
What a year it was for the Nelcar
Legends Cars Series. As one of the biggest touring series in the Legends Cars
industry, the 2008 campaign is one that will not be forgotten. As new faces
brought new blood to the
series, it was the veterans who showed the way at the end. The season started on
a high note as a 17-car field drove onto the Lee USA Speedway, the first time
for the Legends Cars Series. Shaun Buffington took the
checkered flag while second year Charlie Buxton took a second place
finish, a fresh start to his impressive season. The next race at Oxford Plains
showed though what was seen a lot in '08, the 399 of Bob Weymouth up front and
in charge, as he took the win at OPS. Max Zachem started on his incredible '08
year, which included six victories, with a win at Wiscasset. Back at Oxford, it
was T.W. Kirk who took his first win at the track since 1975! In the coming
races, Zachem went on a four-win tear, with wins at both Wiscasset and Oxford.
The series from there returned to the Unity Raceway for the first time in three
years, with Weymouth taking his second win of the year. Two days later at the
National Qualifier it was Shaun Buffington who took the overall win, and
represents Nelcar as the Pro National Qualifier, as Ed Getty wound up with the
Masters spot and first year driver Evan Beaulieu topped off his heat win, by
getting the Semi-Pro National spot. The next week at Oxford, Weymouth made one
impressive run through the field and capitalized on it when Zachem pulled in due
to motor issues. Weymouth won a thrilling race at
Wiscasset the next week as
well, which included a last lap crash and many fans left cheering for the
Legends Cars at Wiscasset. At Lee, it was Buffington and Zachem who took the
wins in the two feature races that day held. While at Unity the next week,
Weymouth rapped up the series title ahead of Kirk and Getty with a win. With the
series gaining much popularity this season, it looks like '09 will be even
bigger and better for the series, with promotional events from local racing
expos, to the big stage at
New Hampshire Motor Speedway. To the series veterans, Weymouth, Kirk,
Buffington and Getty, to the young and new faces of Zachem, Beaulieu, Buxton,
Kevin Hutchens and Tyler Jordan, the series will have quite the '09 campaign.

Legends at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Story (as posted in 600 Racing Magazine)
When Bruton Smith bought the New Hampshire International Speedway, we all knew it meant change was in store for the magic mile, located in Loudon, NH. The Nelcar Legends Car Series saw opportunity and went for it with the opening of the first booth dedicated to Legends Cars at the track. It started back when Todd Beaulieu explained his idea to president of Nelcar, Terry Kirk. After a couple of calls to Jerry Gapins, general manager at NHMS, Ken Regan, general manager of 600Racing, and Darrel Krentz, Head of INEX, they had it in place that the Nelcar series would be in charge of a booth at the track. With five cars, including a rolling chassis, the series was a quick hit. With the drivers they’re all week signing autographs and the numerous volunteers spreading the word of the Legends Cars. But the biggest question amongst the fans was when would the series invade the New Hampshire Motor Speedway? With the recent purchase by Bruton Smith, and the interest in Legends around New England, especially in the Loudon area, it won't be long before the cars roll onto the track. We'd like to thank especially New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Jerry Gapins, and all the staff who helped us out. We'd also like to thank all of our volunteers at the track, including Todd, Terry, Ken, Max, Bob, Ed, Alan, Joni, Rick, Charlie, Evan and Tim. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come in Legends Racing.
Lee USA - August 29th
The Nelcar Legends Car Series was back to the historic Lee USA Speedway for double features on Friday, August 29th. With the field of drivers that were there for the event, you just knew it would be a good night of racing. Since there was double features there were no heat races, so the racing went right into features. The 56 of Evan Beaulieu and the 17 of Terry Kirk were on the front row for the first race. The green flag flew and the two made contact down the backstretch and sent Kirk far in the pack. Meanwhile it was the usual suspects at the front as the 20 of Max Zachem and the 23 of Shaun Buffington worked their way to the front with the 99 of Charlie Buxton close behind. That's the way the race would end as well, with Zachem pulling off the win. The second feature would begin with Beaulieu once again on the pole alongside the 7 of Patrick Stewart. Beaulieu pulled away early in the race but on lap three Buffington while coming up through the field after having to start last, made contact with the 33 of Alan Smith, sending Smith into a spin down the backstretch. That would bring out the caution with Beaulieu and Buffington sharing the front row. Buffington got around Beaulieu with Zachem right behind while Beaulieu fell to third as the top two dueled for the win, and it looked like it would be the opposite of the last race, until a caution with two laps to go really spiced things up for a good finish. On the restart it was Buffington who would pull away after Zachem tried everything he could to get around the veteren. Tom Gray in the 18 car ended up third while Buxton and points leader Bob Weymouth ended up fifth. The series is back to Unity Raceway this Friday, can points leader Bob Weymouth seal the deal and win like he did last time the series went to Unity? Or can the rookies, Buxton, Beaulieu and Hutchens make their first trip to victory lane? Or one of the veterens like Kirk and Getty topple Weymouth's dominance? You have to be there to find out!
Beech Ridge TNT - August 28th
What a night for the final week of Thursday Night Thunder! Coming into the race, the championship race was close, but nobody knew it would be this close at the finish. With five cars in a deadlock for the title, the stakes were high going into tonights race. At the drop of the green flag it was the 06 of Dana Reed and the 21 of Chris Sargent leading the field to the green. Both cars were off to a great start as the 17 of Terry Kirk and the 10 of Ed Getty followed behind, but back in the pack, coming quick was the 20 of Max Zachem, grabbing the lead early from Sargent, and he never looked back. Around the halfway point the 44 and the 31 of David and Chad Grysk both spun at opposite ends of the track at about the same exact time, ending both of their days early but not bringing out a yellow flag. Points contender Bob Weymouth fell out of the race with transmission issues, while the 23 of Chris Seavey was mirrored back in traffic and never could quite make it back. At the finish, it was Zachem taking the win over Sargent, with Kirk taking third while Reed and Getty filled the top five. At the end of the night though it was all about the points, and unofficially after post race tech inspection, it was a tie for the title between Weymouth and Seavey both at 618 points, but Weymouth unofficially takes the championship with his one victory this season. The top five at the end of the night only had nine points between them, with Getty taking third in points, six points back, Kirk in fourth only seven points back, and Sargent only nine away from the title in fifth. That's just how close the competition is in the Legends Cars Series, what if one more car ran, or one more went out? It's just that close! After a season of hard work on Thursday nights we'd like to thank our sponsors who have supported us this season, Amsoil, Interstate Trailer Sales, MacDonald Page & Co and Fairpoint Communications. We hope to see you in 2009!
Beech Ridge TNT - August 21st
What a beautiful Thursday night that was on hand for the Nelcar Legends Car Series, part of the weekly Thursday Night Thunder at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. The race was a non-points event, and the teams drew for positions. The 87 of Anthony Pagliarulo drew pole with the 44 of David Grysk on the outside pole. Racing began and the field spread quickly, three wide down the backstretch as the 23 of Chris Seavey wasted no time in taking the top spot. The 20 of Max Zachem came up through the pack quickly as well and by the halfway point, had the race lead. It was rough racing behind the two though, as they took off it was the 4 of Adam Polvenin, the 56 of Evan Beaulieu and Grysk all fighting for that third spot. As Zachem took the checkered flag, Polvenin made contact with Beaulieu, sending Beaulieu and the 9 of Russ Nutting off the track at the finish. Grysk held on to get the third spot. We would like to thank Ed Getty and his wife (insert name here terry) for their efforts on Thursday night running the show. Next weekend is the final points race for TNT, and it's going to be close between Dustin Reynolds, Bob Weymouth and Chris Seavey. We hope to see you there!
Beech Ridge TNT - August 14th
A beautiful night of racing after a few rain delays was what was on tap at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. In the Legends Car pits, drivers ranged from Connecticut to Ontario, Canada, a field of 20 cars for this Thursday night race. The action started early as coming off of turn two on the first lap, the pole sitter, the 06 of Dana Reed, got loose in front of the field, but corrected the car as the 399 of Bob Weymouth went around and the 21 of Chris Sargent spun as well, collecting the 87 of Anthony Pagliarullo. That brought out the first caution and only caution of the night. On the next restart, it was all about the 20 of Max Zachem who, after a early penalty for jumping the initial start, drove around the field and set sail, making the race a run for second place. It was relatively clean the rest of the race, as Zachem took the win! Chris Seavey in the 23 car finished second, the 399 of Bob Weymouth got back up to third place, while the 0 of Dustin Reynolds and the 10 of Ed Getty rounded out the top five. With one TNT points race left for the series, Dustin Reynolds holds onto the lead, but is only 24 points ahead Bob Weymouth, and 36 points ahead of Chris Seavey. It's going to be a great battle for the title until the end! Be sure not to miss it!
Wiscasset Raceway - August 9th
The Nelcar Legends Car Series returned to the "center of speed," Wiscasset Raceway this past Saturday, August 9th. After a delayed start due to heavy rain during the day, the track was dry and racing was ready to go. In the heat it was the 10 of Ed Getty and the 99 of Charlie Buxton, dueling it out for the win as they along with the 56 of Evan Beaulieu, drove away from the rest of the field after a race that was delayed even longer after the cars of Max Zachem and Bob Weymouth did not get to take the green flag due to mechanical issues. Getty was able to keep his inside line work as he got the victory with Buxton in second and Beaulieu in third. For the feature it was going to get crazy. Under the lights it was the 7 of Patrick Stewart leading the field to the green flag. On lap one, Buxton spun in turn two and brought out the first caution, as he had to pull into the pits because the car was not starting. On the restart it was Ed Getty who got the lead and pulled away to a good lead over Beaulieu who drove up to second. The 20 of Max Zachem as always, had something to say. He drove around Beaulieu and set his sights on Getty. The 60 (usually 399) of Bob Weymouth got third and the three began an aggressive battle for the win at Wiscasset. With two laps to go, Getty and Zachem made contact in turn three, sending all three cars into a spin while fourth place Beaulieu spun into the trees off turn three to avoid them. Nobody was hurt in the accident as the race was controversially restarted. It was all Weymouth at the end though, as the series point’s leader took the win! Buxton drove his way back up to second, Getty taking third, the 17 of Terry Kirk taking fourth and rookie Tyler Jordan got fifth, his best finish of the year. The series will be at Beech Ridge on Thursday night, and making it's last appearance this season at Wiscasset on Saturday. Come support the Nelcar Legends Car Series!
Oxford Plains Speedway - August 2nd
The rain was falling early in the day at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, August 2nd. After a little delay for the rain, the track was ready for racing. First out on the track was the Nelcar Legends Car Series. In the heat it was all Max Zachem wheeling his 20 car to the heat victory over the 10 of Ed Getty and the 17 of Terry Kirk. The feature started with the 33 of Alan Smith on the pole and Oxford veteran Kirk outside pole. On the first lap, the 399 of Bob Weymouth went around almost the entire field on the outside in a really bold move, going from eighth to second in that lap. Kirk held tough in the lead though, until Zachem came into the picture. Going into turn one around the halfway point, the 33 of Alan Smith got loose racing for fourth, and the whole field went to avoid. It ended with Getty and the 7 of Patrick Stewart to retire for the night. On the restart though, Zachem got in front of Kirk, with Weymouth going around on the inside of Kirk. But with about six laps to go, Zachem darted to the pits with a motor issue, giving Weymouth the lead and the win! Kirk ended up second, the 88 of Chad Harrington got third, the 1x of Jason Stone was fourth and the 15 of Jim Maynard Jr. rounded out the top five. The series is at Wiscasset next weekend on Saturday, August 9th. And don't forget about the final two Thursday Night Thunders at Beech Ridge in the next two weeks. Come and see some great racing action!
Beech Ridge National Qualifier - July 27th
The Nelcar Legends Car Series was back to Beech Ridge this past Sunday, July 27th, for the National Qualifier. The top-finishing driver in each division gets a guaranteed spot in the Legends National in Elko, Minnesota. So a lot was on the line. The day started with the heat races. Didn't take long for the action to start as the 44 of David Grysk got together with the 33 of Alan Smith, heavily damaging Smith's car. When the race restarted with the 18 of Tom Gray leading the field with the 399 of Bob Weymouth on the outside. On the backstretch though, the two got together, sending both cars to the pits for the day. That put the 56 of Evan Beaulieu up in front with the 9 of Russ Nutting in second. Beaulieu got a good start and went on to win his first competitive legends race, with the 23 of Shawn Buffington in second, and the 10 of Ed Getty rounding out the top three. Feature racing went green with Beaulieu leading the field, but Buffington got a better start and took the lead while Beaulieu followed behind. Getty got around Beaulieu around lap seven, while Zachem followed behind as the two had a great duel for second. A few laps later the 7 of Patrick Stewart went for a spin on the front stretch, bringing out the races only caution. The race restarted Buffington once again pulling away, and Zachem had a shifting issue that took him out of contention. The race went clean from there, with Buffington taking the win, taking the guaranteed spot for the Pro's, while Getty ended up second, taking his spot in the Masters, Weymouth third in a back-up car, the 17 of Terry Kirk fourth and Beaulieu fifth, taking the Semi-Pro spot. The series is back in action this Thursday at Beech Ridge once again, and Saturday at Oxford Plains Speedway. Come down to some of the best racing in all of New England!
Unity Raceway - July 25th
The stars of the Nelcar Legends Car Series were back to Unity Raceway for the first time in four years. The forecast said rain would be in the area, but it was a beautiful day for the Nelcar 2008 Debut at Unity. The day started with heat races, which got pretty rough. Pole sitter Charlie Buxton moved up front early, while the 92 of Erik Nash got loose and collected the 80 of Marc Fuchswanz, ending his day. The green was back out and the 15 of Jim Maynard Jr. went off track on the backstretch, bringing out the second caution with the 10 of Ed Getty in the lead. The field went green again and Buxton took off with the 399 of Bob Weymouth coming quick. Around lap seven, the 27 of Kevin Hutchens got loose and spun in turn four, bringing out another caution. The field took the green one final time, and Buxton was able to hold off Weymouth to win the heat. Feature racing would begin with Buxton on the pole. In turn one on lap one, the 33 of Alan Smith broke a shock and had to stop, bringing out the one and only caution of the race. The field went green again as Buxton and Weymouth took off with Getty in third. Around lap eight Weymouth pulled the trigger, going around Buxton and pulling away. Weymouth made it look easy as he took the win, with Buxton taking second, Getty in third and the 56 of Evan Beaulieu got fourth after a great duel with the 17 of Terry Kirk, who ended up a solid fifth. The series heads to Beech Ridge on Sunday, July 27th for the National Qualifier. Come on down to see some exciting racing!
Beech Ridge TNT - July 17th
Another beautiful day for racing, and didn't the Nelcar Legends Car Series set off some sparks in a wild Thursday Night of racing. It started early with the pole sitter, the 56 of Evan Beaulieu going for a wild spin out of turn four on just lap two, with the entire field in tow. Incredibly the field missed Beaulieu but down the backstretch that same lap the 23 of Chris Seavey and the 7 of Patrick Stewart got together, sending both cars back to the pits for the night. The race restarted with the 399 of Bob Weymouth in the lead. It got even wilder after that. Around lap seven the 44 of David Grysk looping his car in turn two, while a few laps later the 20 of Max Zachem backed his car into the backstretch wall, haulting the field for another caution. In the end, Weymouth and the 0 of Dustin Reynolds had a great fight for the win as the field between them was scattered everywhere as there was a battle for every position. Reynolds edged his way around Weymouth in the end, taking yet another Thursday Night win with Weymouth ending up third, the 06 of Dana Reed getting a season best third, the 17 of T.W. Kirk and the 4 of Adam Polvinen rounding out the top 5. Nest week the series will be very busy, regular racing at Beech Ridge on Thursday Night, the series will return to Unity Raceway on Friday, and the Legends Car National Qualifier at Beech Ridge on Sunday. Come see the best racing in New England with the Nelcar Legends Series!
Beech Ridge TNT - July 11th
Finally, a beautiful day of racing! The Nelcar legends car series was ready to go after a two week hiatus at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. The race started with the 56 of Evan Beaulieu and the 06 of Dana Reed on the front row. Beaulieu would get the jump on the start and grab the lead early with the 21 of Chris Sargent following closely behind. The action at the front was fierce behind Beaulieu, shuffling all around the track for spots but yet the race ended up going caution free! Around lap ten of the twenty that made up the race, the 0 of Dustin Reynolds got around Sargent and set his sights on Beaulieu. He made it look easy as he grabbed the lead with the 23 of Chris Seavey and the 20 of Max Zachem close behind. The three would duel it out for the win in the final laps, as Reynolds held them off and grabbed the victory! Seavey was second, Zachem third, the 399 of Bob Weymouth in fourth and Beaulieu rounding out the top five. The series is back in action at Oxford Plains this Saturday, July 12th. Come down to see some exciting racing action!
Wiscasset Raceway - June 21st
What a wild night at the center of speed, Wiscasset Raceway for the Nelcar Legends Car series. The night started with heat racing as it was the dominator at Wiscasset, the 20 of Max Zachem to take the lead early on and take home the victory easily with the 10 of Ed Getty and the 57 of Jason Palmer finishing second and third. Feature racing though was very exciting. The race started with the 80 of Marc Fuchswanz and the 17 of T.W. Kirk on the front row. The race went green and Kirk took the early lead as fourth place starter Evan Beaulieu in the 56 car followed into second. The two would duel it out for the lead until around lap four when the 7 of Patrick Stewart spun on the backstretch and backed his car in the wall. The race resumed with Kirk and Beaulieu once again dueling for the lead. The two ran side by side for two laps until the unknown from Connecticut in the 57, Jason Palmer made it three wide and took the lead as Beaulieu got around Kirk for second and Zachem started to make his way to the front in third. A few laps later Zachem grabbed second and set his sights on Palmer. The two would duel it for the win until Beaulieu running a career best third got loose out of turn two and spun, the 399 of Bob Weymouth just barely clipped him and the 10 of Ed Getty got stoved up on the rear of Weymouth. Racing continued with Palmer keeping his lead and taking home his first Nelcar win in only his first race. Zachem ended up second and third went to Weymouth. In two more weeks the series returns to Wiscasset on July 6th. And don't forget to come see the series every thursday night at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.
Beech Ridge TNT - June 19th
Thunderstorms were threatening the forecast last Thursday night, June 19th, but that didn't stop racing at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Week 2 of racing at the ridge for the Nelcar Legends car series was underway with the 56 of Evan Beaulieu on the pole and the 17 of T.W. Kirk on the outside. The green flag flew to start the 25-lap race and Kirk pulled to the lead as Beaulieu followed right behind with the 10 of Ed Getty in third. The action was non-stop as Getty got underneath Beaulieu around lap five and made a charge at Kirk. Kirk never made a mistake though; as he cruised to his second win of the season with Getty right behind him and the 23 of Chris Seavey 3rd as the 42 of Mike Fuchswanz and the 20 of Max Zachem got together coming to the checkered flag sending Fuchswanz in a spin at the end. Come see the exciting racing that Nelcar has to offer! Saturday, June 21st at Wiscasset Raceway and next Thursday, June 26th once again at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.
Beech Ridge TNT - June 12th
Back to Thursday nights, Beech Ridge was the host of the Nelcar Legends on June 12th, with a 17 car field for the first Thursday night race of ten in the season. The race was a good one too! With the 9 of Russ Nutting on the pole for the feature and the 17 of Terry Kirk on his outside. The green flag flew and Russ Nutting got out in front, but it was third place starter in the 399, Bob Weymouth to take the lead early on and check out on the rest of the field. The 05 was back this weekend with Modified driver and Legends Car graduate Jacob Dore behind the wheel. Starting deep in the field he quickly made his way up to the second spot. Around lap 11 the 06 of Dana Reed clipped the right rear of the 56 of Evan Beaulieu and launched off the tire but still kept racing hard. On lap 14, Whiz Kid graduate Tyler Jordan took his car for a ride down the backstretch and backed it softly into the wall, he would retire from the event. Green flag flew again and Weymouth got the lead with Dore right on his rear end and the 0 of Dustin Reynolds in third. With four laps remaining the 88 of Steve Fox got around in turn one and the 44 of David Gryskwicz getting around right after him in turn two. With four laps remaining the green flag flew once again, and in an exciting finish that saw Reynolds get around Dore for second and make one final run at Weymouth. But it was all blue and white when the checkered flag flew as Weymouth took the win in the first Thursday night race of 2008. Reynolds would wind up second, with Dore in 3rd, the 23 of Chris Seavey taking 4th and the 21 of Chris Sargeant rounding out the top five. Exciting racing for the first TNT race of the season and the series is back in action Friday, June 13th at the Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH, and every Thursday night until mid august. Come down and check out the great racing action the Legends Series has to offer!
Wiscasset Raceway - June 8th
Finally, a
beautiful day for racing has come for the Nelcar Legends Cars for race 5 on the
series schedule at the
Wiscasset Raceway. Heat racing began with pole sitter and last weeks
winner Terry Kirk leading the field to the
green flag. It didn't take long for the #20 of Max Zachem to find his way
to the front, as the race ran green and Max just pulled away with the #99 of
Charlie in second and Kirk rounding out the top three. Feature racing started
later that night as it was the
first night race for Wiscasset Raceway this season. It was the #56 and
rookie driver Evan Beaulieu leading the field to the green flag for the first
time in his career with the #80 of Marc Fuchswanz on the outside pole. The green
flag flew and Marc took advantage of Evan's inexperience as he led the first few
laps, until once again the field closed in and the lead was to be traded off by
the #399 of Bob Weymouth, Zachem and Buxton. Zachem took the lead and started to
march away a bit from Buxton until lap 13 the #29 of Tyler Jordan brought out
the yellow flag. This reset the field and in the final seven laps nobody had
anything for Zachem as he cruised to his second Wiscasset win in as many races
this season. Second was a personal best for sophomore driver Charlie Buxton as
the widely known 399 of Bob Weymouth got third while Nelcar veteren Ed Getty got
fourth and in a heated battle for the top five spot, Evan Beaulieu took it
rom Terry Kirk to get his first ever top five finish. The series will be
back in action for Thursday Night
Thunder at Beech Ridge
Motor Speedway on Thursday, June 12th and then again at Lee USA Speedway
Friday the 13th.
Oxford Plains Speedway - May 31st
Racing was nowhere to be found in New England on Saturday, May 31st. Rain was falling and tracks everywhere were cancelled, but not Oxford Plains Speedway. They held out and got in some great racing action. With the rain delay, the heats were cancelled and the action went straight into features. On the wet track it was pretty much a one groove racetrack, but the Nelcar Legends Cars, as always, but on a great show. Terry Kirk in the #17 car started on the pole and proved that he could still get it done. Bob Weymouth started at the rear but worked his way up to second after a fierce battle with Ed Getty as Kirk pulled away from the field. Bob tried desperately to get around Ed on the inside but couldn't pull it off on the slick racing surface, so he made his move on the outside and got around Ed with one lap to go and made on final run going into turn three on the last lap, but it would be ol' T.W. Kirk taking his first checkered flag at Oxford in 33 years! Nelcar Legends racing resumes next Saturday at the Wiscasset Raceway in Wiscasset, ME.
Wiscasset Raceway - May 17th
Saturday was
supposed to be a miserable day with rain showering over, but it was anything
but. The skies cleared earlier and the Nelcar Legends Car Series was ready for
great racing action at the
Wiscasset Raceway
in Wiscasset, Maine.
The day started with the practice sessions, and as expected the 399 of Bob
Weymouth and the 20 of Max Zacham were amongst the fastest in the field. Next up
was Heat racing.
The 13 car field took to the track to begin the heat and early on the 20 of
Max Zacham took the lead from his outside front row start. Pole sitter Chris
Seavey was back in action this weekend as well, after taking a wild ride at
Oxford Plains the week before, he was the pole sitter. All did not go well
though as the left front fender flung off the car and Chris had to deal with a
13th place finish. Meanwhile from the fourth starting spot, the 99 of Charlie
Buxton began to challenge Max for the top spot, but couldn't get the pass as Max
took the win with Charlie taking second and Bob Weymouth taking third.
Feature racing time, with Chris Seavey fixing his fender he got one more
chance on the pole as Max Zacham once again started outside pole with the 17 of
Terry Kirk and the 56 of Evan Beaulieu starting from row two. The
green flag waved and Max took off, but the action started early! With the
leaders slicing and dicing for position, the 80 of Mark Fuchswanz broke a left
spindle and got into the side of the 56x of Anthony Pagliarulo, sending his in a
barrel roll just outside of turn four. Both drivers retired from the event. The
green flag flew once again and this time it was Bob Weymouth and Charlie Buxton
getting to the front behind Max Zacham as Chris Seavey and Evan Beaulieu dueled
for fourth right behind. The 10 of Ed Getty was quite a ways away after the
restart but started making ground on the dueling Chris and Evan. Meanwhile the
racing up front was still Max holding the top spot and Bob and Charlie trying to
get around him. Nobody had anything for his car though as he took his first
checkered flag this season with Bob Weymouth finishing second and Charlie
Buxton getting third. Ed Getty found his way around Chris Seavey and Terry Kirk
and Evan Beaulieu ran right behind as Tyler Jordan, Alan Smith and Kevin
Hutchens rounded out the top ten. The next race is at the Oxford Plains Speedway
on May 31st. Come see the greatest racing there is to offer with the Nelcar
Legends!"
