WHAT A WEEKEND! I TOOK FRIDAY
OFF FROM SCHOOL TO PRACTICE FOR THE WEEKEND WITH
MY SISTER ANDREA FOR THE TGIF SERIES RACE #1. WE HAD TIME TRIALS AND
I WON THE POLE! ONCE THE
RACE STARTED THOUGH THERE WAS NO CATCHING THE #85 OF AUSTIN AVERILL.
I HAD A GREAT RACE WITH
#14 CAMERON LOVEJOY FOR SECOND AND WE CAME ACROSS THE FINISH LINE
SIDE BY SIDE AND HE BEAT ME.
ON SUNDAY IT RAINED IN THE MORNING SO BY THE TIME THE TRACK WAS DRY
WE ONLY RAN FEATURES.
I STARTED FOURTH BECAUSE THEY INVERTED POINTS AND I AM IN SECOND. BY
THE END OF LAP 1 I WAS IN
THE LEAD. THE #14 OF CAMERON LOVEJOY CAUGHT ME AND HE WAS RIGHT ON
MY BUMPER. HE
PASSED ME ON A RESTART SO HE WAS IN THE LEAD. WE SWAPPED THE LEAD A
FEW MORE TIMES
AND THAT WAS M FIRST TIME TO WIN IN BLUE PLATE. I WANT TO THANK MY
CREW CHIEF JEFF
MARTEL. HE REALLY MAKES IT SO MY KART IS GOOD. MY MOM, DAD AND
SISTER. MY TWO TEAMMATES
WHO HAVE ALSO WON THIS YEAR, DALE MARTEL AND PATIENCE BEDARD. THE
SYLVAIN-MARTEL-KING AND BEDARD FAMILIES. IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD WHEN

Alicia ends up second in tough
second week

Race #2 went good. I finished
2nd in my heat to Cameron. Since he won last week he had to start
last and
I got to start on the pole. I used to hate it when I started up
front but i am starting to like it. I led some
laps and finished 2nd in the feature. I am having fun in the Blue
Plate class. I can't wait till the
TGIF series starts. My dad told me that all the classes are racing
for bigger trophies than usual. That will be
AWSUM! I think my sister Andrea is going to race the TGIF series in
the Box Stock class. GO ANDREA!!!!!!

after the first race of the 2009 season at Richmond
Karting Speedway.

I had a really good race on
April 26. I time trialed and qualified fourth. I did not start very
good, but after a few laps
my kart started going a lot better. The 24 was in front of me
and he spun out so I was in 3rd. The 14 and
59 finished in front of me. I was really happy for my first
race in blue plate!
